Where is Kootenay River RV Park located?
We're located at 651 Rosedale Rd, Castlegar, BC V1N 4L2, directly along the Kootenay River and within an hour of golfing, fishing, hiking, and other Kootenay-region attractions.
What amenities are available on-site?
Guests have access to clean washrooms with free showers, coin-operated laundry, free Wi-Fi, cable TV, and beautifully landscaped grounds with mature trees and flowers.
What are your check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is after 1:00 PM. Late check-out fees apply for departures after the scheduled time, and early check-outs are non-refundable.
What hookups are included at each site?
All RV sites include full hookups: cable TV, power (30-amp or 50-amp depending on site), water, and sewer. Every site also comes with a picnic table.
Are washrooms available at all times?
Washrooms are closed daily from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM for cleaning and are otherwise available to guests.
Do you accommodate extended stays?
Yes. We're open year-round for extended stays of 28 days or longer (limited availability). Extended-stay RVs must be 20 years old or newer, and specific rates and terms are discussed directly with our team by phone or email.
When are you open for daily stays?
We're open May through October for daily stays, and year-round for extended stays of 28+ days.
Do you offer sites for big rigs?
Yes. Our Premium Big Rig Pull-Thru and 50-Amp Big Rig sites are designed for larger RVs, offering 50-amp service and easy pull-thru access.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, pets are welcome for a one-time $5.00 fee.
Are additional guests charged extra?
Yes. Our standard rates are based on double occupancy. Additional guests are charged $5.00 per person, per day.
Is Kootenay River RV Park family-friendly?
NO. Kootenay River RV Park is an 18+ adults-only campground, and we maintain a quiet atmosphere with 24-hour noise restrictions to protect that experience for all guests.
What's the noise policy?
We enforce 24-hour noise restrictions throughout the park. Excessive noise, including loud music, shouting, or rowdy behavior, may be grounds for immediate eviction.
What are your rates?
Daily RV site rates range from $52–$62 per night depending on hookup type, based on double occupancy. GST applies to all rates, and a one-time $5.00 pet fee applies if you're traveling with a pet.
How do I make a reservation?
You can book online through our reservation system, or contact us directly by phone at 250-999-1898 or by email at kootenayriverrvpark@gmail.com.
We can hold a tentative reservation for up to 48 hours. If the booking isn't confirmed within that window, the dates are released to other guests.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, and e-transfer. Payment in full is required at the time of booking for stays of 28 days or less.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made at least 7 days prior to arrival are refunded in full, less a $25.00 cancellation fee.
What can I do near the park?
The park sits along the Kootenay River with great walleye and trout fishing right outside your site. Nearby Castlegar also offers hiking, boating, wildlife watching, shopping, restaurants, and access to national parks, all within an hour's drive.
